Police on Thursday claimed to have arrested 113 suspects in targeted raids conducted in different city neighbourhoods during last 24 hours. The police said that their 78 raids and seven encounters were carried out as a part of Karachi operation led to the arrests of 113 criminals involved in various criminal activities.
During the operations police arrested 14 criminals under Arms Act, 14 were arrested under Narcotics Act, 13 absconders, two dacoits; one murderer, one proclaimed offender (PO) and some 47 others were also arrested during the said time period.
The police further said that they have recovered 17 hand guns, 7504 gram hashish, and 36 gram heroin from their possession.
