LAHORE: Provincial Home Minister Shaukat Javed Monday called Caretaker Punjab Chief Minister Dr. Hasan Askari at his office. During the meeting, steps taken for implementation on electoral code of conduct came under discussion.
Talking on the occasion, Dr. Askari said that implementation on code of conduct for free and fair polls would be ensured at every cost, adding that indiscriminate action would be continued on violation of code of conduct devised by the Election Commission.
Chief Minister said that necessary steps being taken to further improve law and order situation and added that peaceful atmosphere would be provided to the voters for use of right of franchise without any fear.
Meanwhile, Dr. Hasan Askari said that implementation on code of conduct is fundamental condition of transparent electoral process and compulsory for free, fair and transparent election.
The caretaker government totally impartial and apolitical and responsibility of holding impartial election would be performed amicably, concluded the Chief Minister.
