The City police on Friday claimed to have arrested as many as 61 alleged criminals in different targeted raids and encounters conducted at various parts of the provincial metropolis during last 24 hours. The police said that their 57 raids and one encounter carried out as a part of Karachi operation against target killers, terrorists and criminals led to the arrest of 57 criminals who were allegedly involved in various criminal activities.
During the operations police arrested seven criminals and booked them under the Arms Act and nine were booked under the Anti-Narcotics Act. Those who arrested include one absconder, one dacoit, one extortionist and 34 others involved in different criminal activities.
