The National Business Education Accreditation Council (NBEAC) is organising the second two-day International Deans and Directors Conference entitled "Building Bridges and Fostering Collaborations in Business Education" in collaboration with the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan and Institute of Business Administration (IBA) at Karachi from February 10-11, 2015.
The inaugural ceremony will be held at IBA Karachi on February 10. Dr Hasan Sohaib Murad, Chairman NBEAC, will chair the conference while Professor Dr Mukhtar Ahmed, Chairman HEC and Dr Ishrat Hussain, Director, IBA Karachi will be co-chairs of the event. The strategic level conference aims at providing a platform to the heads of business schools to network with the industry executives to share their experiences in establishing linkages and contributing towards development of the industry and economy as well as the business education in Pakistan.
The conference will focus on promoting national academia and corporate linkages, incorporate international academia linkages, revamping business programmes in collaboration with industry to have relevance, developing concrete strategic plans for business schools with industry engagement, developing an entrepreneurial mindset of students, promoting research collaborations and commercialisation, and promoting CSR initiatives. Prominent national and international speakers will share ideas on the occasion. Entrepreneurs, industry leaders and academic heads will be invited to share their inspiring stories of fruitful collaborations.-PR
