Senator Mushahidullah Khan, Information Secretary Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), has said that all conspiracies against democracy and Parliament would meet their logical end. Addressing the joint-sitting of the Parliament, he said, "Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) are pursuing the agenda to destroy the economy and to create hindrances in the way of huge Chinese investment in the country.
All conspiracies against parliament will die down and the so-called champions of revolution and independent (Azadi) will have to lick the dust. At this critical juncture when the country is facing a lot of other problems, both Imran Khan and Tahirul Qadri are carrying forward the hidden agenda of their foreign masters to ruin the country's economy and are misguiding innocent people including women and children in the name of new Pakistan and revolution."
Mushahidullah said on Thursday the entire Parliament was united for the supremacy of democracy despite all of political odds and it was a clear message to all those conspiring against parliament and democracy. "Today once again conspiracies are being hatched against the parliament and democracy behind the closed doors secretly. But the conspirators must know that they have to fail. The parliament will remain and we shall not allow anybody to malign it in any anti-democracy activity," he said.
The PML-N leader said, "There will be no problem in the country and it will make progress when every person and institution including army and agencies along with media should do their own work under the constitution. When agencies will shun their real duties and involve themselves in conspiracies then such incidents would take place and innocent people would be killed." He said, "Sit-ins and protests are an eye wash as there is a hidden agenda of these two leaders who think the Parliament as a cricket ground."
He said these so-called leaders should learn lesson from the history and understand that whenever any force conspired against parliamentary democracy and politicians they emerged again with full vigor and survived the test of time.
Mushahidullah alleged that today Tahirul Qadri is inciting innocent people in the name of Model Town killings, but I am confident that whenever a genuine investigation of Model Town incident will be held Qadri himself will be found involved in the incident, because it is part of the plan to derail democracy."
He said, "People have rejected Imran Khan's call regarding civil disobedience through non-payment of electricity bills and sending remittances through Hundi. For this we salute Pakistanis living within the country and abroad," he added. Mushahid alleged that both Imran Khan and Tahirul Qadri had received money for all this drama from their foreign masters and the plan had been chalked out at a secret meeting within the country and abroad (London). He also objected to the language used at sit-in and said what message they were sending to new generation of the country.
