Anti-polio campaign continued actively on the second day of three-day polio drive in all nine towns of the provincial capital on Tuesday. The workers of Punjab Health Department, TMAs and Lady Health Workers and visitors went door-to-door and administered polio drives to less than five years children. DCO Lahore Dr Ahmed Javed Qazi himself monitored polio teams while officers of CDGL and the representatives of World Health Organisation also inspected the performance of polio teams.
The DCO Lahore visited locality adjacent to Timber Market in connection with polio drive and went door-to-door and confirmed whether children were administered polio drops or not. He also chaired a meeting in connection with polio drive at Town Hall and checked polio team's performance. He showed his satisfaction over achieving target set for the second day. He also visited fruit and vegetable market at Badami Bagh and checked the prices and auction process of edibles in mandi. Moreover, Member Provincial Assembly Chaudhry Gulzar Ahmed also visited areas of Nishtar Town and administered polio drops to children.
