The Supreme Court on Friday took notice of brutal killing of 28-year-old pregnant Farzana Parveen for marrying without the consent of her family outside Lahore High Court (LHC) in broad daylight by her relatives. Chief Justice Tasaduq Hussain Jilani directed Inspector General Police Punjab to submit within 48 hours a detailed report over the brutal killing of the woman.
Meanwhile, taking notice of another news item regarding the demise of overseas Pakistani in Malaysian prison and non-co-operation of Pakistani embassy there, the Chief Justice sought a report from the Foreign Secretary.
