LAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar in a meeting with members of Jehangir Khan Tareen (JKT) Group in the Punjab assembly held out assurance that genuine reservations will be resolved, as we believe in the supremacy of justice.

The MPAs including Saeed Akhtar Niwani, Ajmal Cheema, Noman Langrial, Zawar Warraich, Nazir Chohan, Umer Aftab and Aun Chaudhary met with CM and expressed complete trust over his leadership.

“You are our chief minister and we have come to you for the solution of our issues,” they said, adding: “PTI is our party and unconditional attachment will be continued.”

The CM said his doors are open to all of them and the party is united under the leadership of PM Imran Khan. In-justice will never be done with anybody while the politics of revenge is not a tradition of the government, he stressed.

Talking to central president of Pakistan Kisan Itehad Khalid Khokhar in a meeting, the CM announced to abolish unnecessary amendments in Sugar Factories Control Act to make it farmer-friendly.

The CM said bumper crops have been produced and farmers have been rewarded for their hard work. The PTI government has given farmers their rights and legal protection has been provided to sugarcane growers, he added. Pending dues worth Rs 26 billion have been got recovered from sugar mills and the sugarcane farmers will get full reward for their hard work in future as well, he said.

Moreover, the CM distributed grant-in-aid cheques, valuing Rs 66 million to high court bar associations Bahawalpur and Multan, district and tehsil bar associations.

The CM said he is the custodian of lawyers’ rights in the CM Office adding that lawyers’ convention will be called after improvement in the corona situation.

The CM in his message on 70 years of Pak-China relations said that the Chinese nation has given the lesson of hard work to Pakistan and we have to transfer this lesson to our next generations because it is the only way to prosperous. The journey of Pakistan-China relations will be moved forward with accelerated speed, he added.

Furthermore, Federal Defence Minister Pervaiz Khatak called on CM Sardar Usman Buzdar at his office and discussed matters of mutual interest.
