Sindh sanctions Adhoc Relief Allowance-2020 for govt employees

  • As per the memo, the allowance will be subject to income tax, and will not be admissible to the employees during the tenure of their posting/ deputation abroad.

The Government of Sindh has sanctioned the grant of Adhoc Relief Allowance-2020 for the provincial government employees.

“Government of Sindh has been pleased to sanction with effect from 1t July, 2020, and till further orders an Adhoc Relief Allowance-2020 at 10 percent of Basic Pay to BPS 1 to 16 and 5pc of Basic Pay to BPS 17 and above civil employees of the Sindh Government as well as contingent paid staff and contract employees employed against civil posts in Basic Pay Scale on standard terms and conditions of contract appointments,” read the office memorandum of the Government of Sindh Finance Department, dated 10th July, 2020.

As per the memo, the allowance will be subject to income tax, and will not be admissible to the employees during the tenure of their posting/ deputation abroad.

The Adhoc Relief Allowance-2020 shall be accommodated within the budgetary allocation for the FY2020-21, by their respective departments and no supplementary grants would be given to this account, read the memo.
