PMEX index closes at 3,004 points

KARACHI: Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited's commodity index on Monday closed at 3,004 points.

The total traded value of metals, energy and COTS/FX was recorded at Rs 2.624 billion and the number of lots traded was 5,850, said press release on Tuesday.

Major business was contributed by gold amounting to Rs 1.634 billion, followed by currencies through COTS Rs 680.967 million, WTI crude oil Rs 151.908 million, silver Rs 79.482 million, platinum Rs 50.797 million, copper Rs 15.282 million, natural gas Rs 6.405 million and Brent crude oil Rs 5.796 million.
