Father of slain Additional Advocate General, Punjab, Arif Bhinder has approached the Lahore High Court (LHC) for early hearing of a petition pending with the august court for the arrest of culprits involved in the murder of his two sons, a maternal nephew and four others.
The petitioner Muhammad Akbar Bhinder contended that the august court had directed the respondent police officials to arrest Malik Anwar and other accused involved in murderous attempt on Arif Bhinder and had fixed February 1, 2007 the next date of hearing.
The petitioner contended that the accused were at large as result of which they killed his two sons and others.
He said that respondent police officials have failed to arrest the culprits who are moving in the city freely.
He, therefore, prayed to the court to direct the respondent police officials to arrest the culprits forthwith and complete their trial expeditiously.
The petition is fixed for hearing before the Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court on January 16, 2007.
