Chairman, Evacuee Properties Trust, Lieutenant General Zulfikar Ali Khan (Retd) has constituted a committee in the chairmanship of senior vice president, Sarhad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCI), Haji Mohammad Israr Saraf to review the rent of the evacuated properties in Peshawar.
Other members of the committee include Zonal Administrator, Evacuated Properties, Northern Zone, Wahab Gul and Deputy Administrator Auqaf Peshawar, Noor Khan.
The decision was taken in a meeting held between SCCI senior vice president Haji Mohammad Israr Saraf and chairman, Evacuee Properties Trust, Lieutenant General (Retd) Zulfikar Ali Khan here in Peshawar on Sunday.
The SCCI official informed the chairman about the concerns of business community saying the evacuee properties increased rent would create problems.
He requested for review of the rent of evacuated properties in the city. Lieutenant General Zulfikar Ali Khan (Retd) assured that no excess would be made with any one regarding the increase in rent of evacuee properties and constituted a committee.
The committee meeting has been convened on January 17. While the other meeting of business community and those stakeholders who had rented buildings of the Trust had been convened on Tuesday at Sarhad Chamber.
