The Swiss franc was lower against major currencies on Wednesday after a Swiss National Bank board member said Swiss growth will slow next year. The franc was down 0.12 percent against the dollar at 1.2527 francs per dollar and down 0.15 percent against the euro at 1.5893 francs per euro.
Markets are awaiting Thursday's SNB meeting, when the Swiss central bank is expected to hike its key interest rate by 25 basis points to 1.75 percent.
