Wheat futures at the Chicago Board of Trade were higher early on Wednesday, rebounding from Tuesday's sell-off on news that Egypt bought 120,000 tonnes of US wheat, traders said.
Egypt's main government wheat buyer said he bought 60,000 tonnes each of US soft white and soft red winter wheat. As of 11:15 am CDT (1615 GMT), CBOT December wheat was up 1-1/4 cents at $4.03-3/4 per bushel, with deferred months up 1/2 to 2 cents. Iowa Grain bought 1,000 December contracts, traders said.
