Punjab Minister for Industries and Investment Muhammad Ajmal Cheema has said that special measures are being taken to promote production of non-traditional items in the province with a view to expanding exports.
Talking to various trade delegations, here, he revealed that the government has successfully launched the business and investment friendly policies to make the country a safe paradise for national and foreign investors in Pakistan.
The minister said the government would soon introduce a special package of incentives for local and foreign investors, which would be helpful in brining and promoting strong investment growth and opening new vistas of investment in the province.
He revealed that loans amounting to Rs 1 billion have been advanced so far to all the interested persons for setting up small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and for upgradation of the existing industrial units. He said that the government was making all out efforts for providing the complete security and safety to the investors.
