In the growing strain being put on indo-pak relations, many insist that the creative amalgam of the media industry from both side of the border should not be placed in the midst of these debasements. However, according to reports Pakistani actress, Mahira khan has been dropped from the SRK starrer, ‘Raees’.
After a ban on Pakistani actors was called into action by various Indian extremist parties, cinemas in Pakistan also opted for not screening Bollywood films. Consequently, a headhunt began to replace Mahira’s role in the film ‘Raees’, as she was removed from the blockbuster project.
Nonetheless, no official statements have come in from the film producers or SRK for that matter as of now.
