Did you know that the temperature rises up to around 50 degrees during the summer in Pakistan? Are you aware of the fact that there is a lack of clean and cold drinking water for majority of Pakistanis? Did you know that every year Pakistan loses a large number of its children under the age of 5 due to the dearth of clean drinking water?
The lack of clean drinking water leads to several health complications and even results in many fatalities especially in the infant population of Pakistan. The observation of this reality moved PEL to work on a humanitarian initiative that would help bring the provision of water that is not only clean but also cold.
By installing various water dispensers all across some of the most busy and less facilitated areas of Lahore such as the railway station, where many people are travelling in and out of Lahore, they helped many underprivileged families have access to cold and clean drinking water.
Instantly you could observe a relief and air of appreciation among the people who had access to this facility and through a survey they were able to establish that such an initiative was not only much needed but also appreciated to a great level.
The activity raised awareness and inspired many others to follow in PEL’s footsteps and share their accounts of good deeds. We will be executing this activity in all of the major cities of Pakistan next year
An organization that has been part of the heritage and history of Pakistan, with this initiative PEL has not only established its place in the market as an organization working towards creating various opportunities in Pakistan, but they also encourage people to display random acts of kindness for their fellow countrymen.
We should keep in mind that contributions are important and every kind of charity counts!
