Salim Jan Mazari, MNA and Chairman Standing Committee on Water and Power, called on Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz on Friday and discussed with him matters relating to his constituency as well as overall political situation in the country. The Prime Minister said that local bodies' elections was part of the governance process and would be held on schedule.
These elections, Shaukat Aziz added would provide an opportunity to further strengthen the devolution process in the country.
It would also provide an opportunity to the people to elect their representatives who were efficient, responsive and conduct their affairs in a responsible manner, the Prime Minister added.
