imageISLAMABAD: Senate Special Committee has discussed the 24 demands given by the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The meeting of the Special Committee was held under the convenership of Senator Syed Muzaffar Hussain Shah here on Tuesday at the Parliament House.

Muzaffar Shah said that the body has briefly reviewed the demands of the provincial government with all stakeholders including the official of KPK.

The committee has made a comprehensive report by reviewing details given by the FBR, Ministry of Petroleum, Finance and Railways.

Senator Nouman Wazir told the committee that after detail review and verification of recommendations of the special committee and details given by the provincial government he will present a report before the special committee within 10 days.

Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources Shahid Khaqan Abbasi told the committee that there is no bar on the provincial governments to produce electricity and add it in the national grid station.

He said that natural gas has been discovered at 84 places of the country adding that for producing electricity government could not provide gas to the provinces.
