imagePESHAWAR: The Pakistan Tahrik e Insaf (PTI) dissidents lawmakers strongly deplored the alleged statement of the Chief Minister Khyber Pakthunkhwa about their expulsion from the party and announced of holding of Workers Convention soon after Eid ul Azha to appraise them about what they have called against some unpopular decisions of KP Government, which was damaging the party in the province.

PTI dissident MPA, Yasin Khalil who attended a high-level meeting of PTI dissidents at Islamabad the other day (September 3) convened to chalk out future line of action following the alleged threatening statement of the Chief Minister KP appeared in media, told APP on Tuesday the PTI dissidents lawmakers took very serious notice of it and deplored it in strongest possible words.

He said the meeting was attended besides others by PTI five dissidents MNAs, including Dawar Khan Kundi, Colonel (R) Amirullah Marwat, Sajid Nawaz Khan, Khyal Zaman Orakzai, Junaid Akbar and MPAs Qurban Ali Khan, Amjad Afridi, Jamshed Mohmand, Shakil Khan, Babar Salim Khan and he himself.

Khalil said the meeting agreed to call the first Workers Convention at Peshawar soon after Eidul Azha to appraise masses against the recent development besides reorganizing the party in KP.

After Peshawar, he said, the meeting decided to hold similar conventions in district headquarters of KP.

Khalil alleged that the chief minister used 'un-parliamentary' language against him and MPA Qurban Ali Khan and being an old lawmaker, Pervez Khattak should not have used insulting language against us.

"PTI is a democratic party and being part of this party, it is our right to raise voice against the unpopular decisions of Khattak Govt and its allied parties for betterment of people," he explained.

"The workers of PTI are very disappointed from the three and half years performance of Khattak Government and are not being taken into confidence in any matter," he said.

He said PTI was mandated by people on the name of change and it was the responsibility of the Pervez Khattak government to deliver and address peoples' problems.

Yasin Khalil said neither menace of corruption was uprooted in KP nor PTI's manifesto was implemented in Khyber Pakthunkhwa.

"Our struggle is implementation of PTI manifesto, across the board accountability, good governance, elimination of corruption and supremacy of merit in KP" he maintained.

Following Ziaullah Afridi's arrest, he said, no major arrest was made by the KP Ehtesab Commission in Khyber Pakthunkhwa.

"We want a neutral and impartial Ehtesab Commission free from Government's pressure," he added.

PTI dissident MNA, Dawar Kundi said the meeting was called in to deliberate on the threatening statement of Chief Minister KP about expulsion of some PTI dissident from the party.

The meeting expressed shock over the threatening statement of CM Khan and deplored it, he said.

The meeting also deliberated on implementation stage of the issues in KP addressed due to intervention of PTI Chief Imran Khan, Kundi maintained.

Kundi admitted that corruption still existed in Khyber Pakthunkhwa while LG representatives' problems were not fully addressed.

He said resignation of former DG Ehtesab Commission has made serious dent on the PTI Government's efforts of eradication of corruption in the province.

He said PTI dissidents struggle is for impartial and independent Ehtesab Commission, full powers to LG representatives, elimination of corruption and implementation of party manifesto.
