Pakistan’s bowling coach Mushtaq Ahmed has admitted that an opportunity has been missed after Moeen Ali was dropped twice early in his innings and dropping catches are not the trademark of a good team.
Talking about these failures in the field during the first day's play of the fourth and last Test against hosts England at The Oval, Mushtaq said dropping catches are not the trademark of a good team.
“Of course we missed opportunities and good teams do not make mistakes like dropping catches,” he told reporters after stumps. “But there are four days to go and hopefully we can bat well in our first innings.”
England were dismissed for 328, after winning the toss on Thursday.
Moeen Ali top-scored with 108 before he got out, caught hooking off Sohail Khan, who led Pakistan's attack with five wickets for 68 runs -- his second five wickets in an innings haul in successive Tests.
