imageWith a two-day side match against Worcestershire staring today, Pakistan team is presented with another chance to think deep, get rid of their flaws and overcome the 330-run defeat at Old Trafford before the third match against England at Edgbaston.

The four-test match series is level at 1-1 and with two more games to go anything can still happen.

“Pakistan has got a good opportunity to regroup and work on their mistakes before the third Test,” said former Pakistan Test player Wasim Bari while speaking to the media.

“You could see a big difference in the approach of the England players from the first Test at Lord’s to the second one at Old Trafford. They quickly worked out their weaknesses and cut down the mistakes and Pakistan can learn from that.”

He feels Misbah has a potential to come up with a new bowling strategy as England batsmen successfully neutralized the Yasir Shah threat in the last match.

“England will not allow Yasir to dominate them again in this series; that was evident from how little purchase there was for him at Old Trafford,” said Bari.

The former wicket-keeper batsmen hopes Pakistan should make their plans effectively and should know how to tackle the new situation.

“Pakistan needs to know who their main weapon is, if Yasir fails to deliver, the work load between the bowlers needs to be managed as well,” he added.

Pakistan’s third match against hosts is scheduled to commence from August 3 at Edgbaston in Birmingham.
