Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal (MMA) on Sunday launched its mass contact drive to apprise the people about present government's anti-Kashmir, anti-freedom fighters, anti-nuclear and pro-secularism and pro-American policies
"We have launched our mass contact drive today from Karachi as the present regime headed by General Pervez Musharraf has accepted the Indian hegemony and is now promoting the Hindu culture in the country besides harassing and interrogating Pakistani scientists for rolling back the nuclear programme and accepting third option on Kashmir," said Liaquat Baloch, Deputy secretary-general of MMA.
He accused the government of waging state terrorism on Indian pattern through conducting operation in South Waziristan by Pak-Army, also saying that intimidation of National Heroes like atomic scientists and side-stepping approach over Kashmir issue has dampened the spirit of the masses.
Baloch said whatever the Pak Army is doing in tribal belt is in no way different from India's state terrorism in the Occupied Kashmir.
He strongly condemned the surprise raids on religious seminaries and arrest of teachers and students in different parts of the country and warned the Government to stop forthwith such steps otherwise it would have serious repercussions.
Commenting on the speech of President Pervez Musharraf he said that there was nothing new and it was replay of previous speeches.
We have boycotted the Joint session on our democratic stand and we did not listen to him while other opposition parties remained in the House and adopted different ways of protest.
