imageBAGH: Minister for Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan Affairs Chaudhry Barjees Tahir on Thursday said people of Azad Kashmir will overthrow corrupt rulers in upcoming elections by voting Pakistan Muslim League into power.

Addressing a workers convention here, the minister said that the AJK rulers did politics of victimization of the opponents during the past 5 years, but now time has come to end their rule.

The minister said that the present AJK government even appointed vice chancellors of the universities after allegedly getting gratification money which was tantamount to playing with the future of next generation.

He said he would write a letter to the Chairman Higher Education Commission for inquiry into the appointment of inefficient vice chancellors in AJK universities by he incumbent government.

He said the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was committed towards the uplift of Azad Kashmir and mega projects like Islamabad-Muzaffarabad Motorway, railway link, Murree to Muzaffarabad Expressway and Shounter Tunnel projects will be completed on priority basis.

He asked the Kashmiri masses to elect PML (N) in the upcoming election with overwhelming majority as this would change their destiny.

He said that time for politics of victimization was over and time for politics of service, motorways, schools, colleges has come.

Barjees Tahir said that Kashmiris from across the Line of Control also like Nawaz Sharif as he has been striving for resolution of the long-standing dispute as per wishes of the people of Kashmir.

He said Nawaz Sharif loves Kashmir and has several times visited the area after becoming prime Minister of Pakistan in 2013.

He said that the present rulers made appointments on political grounds and rights of the deserving educated people were violated. He said after coming to power the PML-N government would make all appointment on merit alone.
