imageKARACHI: Three ships C.V Maersk Stepnica, C.V Uasc Al-Khor and M.T Okyroe carrying containers, and Furnace Oil were arranged berthing at Qasim International Container Terminal, and FOTCO Oil Terminal respectively on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, an oil tanker Karachi carrying 63,400 tonnes Furnace oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during the same day.

Berth occupancy was managed at the port at 40 percent on Wednesday where a total of six ships namely C.V Maersk Stepnica, C.V Uasc Al-Khor, M.V Johar Express, M.V Hope Star, M.V Amalthia, and M.T Okyroe, were occupied PQA berths to load/offload containers, cement, soya bean seeds, vlinker and furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours.

Cargo handling operation were carried out smocthly at the port where a cargo volume of 136,068 tonnes, comprising 102,877 tonnes imports and 33,191 tonnes exports, inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 3,700 containers (TEUs) (2,100 TEUs imports & 1,600 TEUs exports) was handled during last 24 hours.

DEPARTURES:

Container ships Maersk Stepnica and UASC Al-Khor are expected to sail on same day. ARRIVAL SCHEDULE:

C.V Maipo carrying containers is expected to take berth at Container Terminal on Thursday, 28th April. While three more ships M.T Nord Innovation, M.T Sea Fortune and M.T Plymouth with Disesel Oil and Chemicals are due to arrive at Port Qasim on same day and LNG carrier Al-Sheehaniya is due to arrive on Friday.
