It seems like Samsung has finally learned from its mistake, that’s because Samsung upcoming Galaxy S7 Edge, the curved version of the S7 flagship would boost a massive battery i.e. 3600mAh, a jump of 38 percent over the previous S6 Edge.
The Korean mobile maker, Samsung, was previously criticized for cutting down the battery capacity of its smart-phone lineup, for both the Galaxy S6 and Note 5, which especially led S6 struggling to make it through a day of average use.
According to 9TO5Google, an FCC filing showed that the S7 Edge will have a hefty 3600mAh battery. The development confirmed a previous rumor detailing the 1000mAh battery jump from last year’s model.
A 3600mAh battery would make the S7 Edge one of the highest capacity smart-phones available. For comparison, the Galaxy Note 5 is 3000mAh, while the Nexus 6P is 3450mAh. However, S7 Edge would also feature a 5.5-inch screen. Other specifications, as per rumors would include 4GB of RAM and 32/64GB of storage. The processor will vary depending on region with North America getting a Snapdragon 820 and international variants using a Exynos 8 Octa 8890 processor.
According to the Verge, Samasung’s upcoming S7 series are also expected to feature a water-resistant design and support microSD storage. Samsung is expected to unveil both Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge at Mobile World Congress later this month.
