ISLAMABAD: Information Minister Pervez Rashid on Tuesday said that establishment of Media Monitoring and Tracking Center in the country is need of the hour to improve the governance system.
Speaking after inaugurating the Centre here, he said it will play important role in implementation of media code of conduct. The Minister said the Center is equipped with modern gadgets that would monitor 80 channels.
He said, the Centre would help to keep contact between the Government and the media. He said, reports of the media-monitoring centre would facilitate the Ministries to judge and improve their performance.
