SWAT: Leader of Opposition in the National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah has said that PPP always stood against forces which tried to derail the democratic system in the country and recounted his party's relentless struggle to this effect.
The PPP always fought against enemies of the democracy. He was addressing lawyers at Swat Bar Room and later talking to the media men here on Wednesday.
The PPP foiled container conspiracy against democracy and played its role in bringing them from roads to the parliament. He alleged that Jewish lobby under the garb of Muslims were involved in terrorist activities across the globe adding that even the developed countries were today involved in patronizing terrorism.
All over the world, Pakistan is the only which suffered the most viz a viz terrorism, he said and added that no Muslim could become terrorist and it was the Jewish lobby only which was harboring terrorism all over the country to defame the Muslims.
Khursheed Shah claimed that PPP slashed the powers of the President and made the parliament strong in its tenure and gave identity to the Pukhtuns and Gilgit Bilitistan.
He argued that the mega projects of the PMLN government would not help in alleviating poverty from the country and also criticized the Kissan Package announced by the Prime Minister few days back.
He said the people of Swat saw the worst time of their life and witnessed the world?s biggest displacement of the people whereas floods and earthquake also played in ruining the grandeur of the valley.
Addressing the District Bar, former Information Minister and central Information Secretary PPP Qamar Zaman Kaira said that his party played the key role in keeping intact the bonds of brotherhood between the nationalities in the country.
He said though the country needed motorways but provision of other basic amenities of life to the people was also responsibility of the government.
He told the lawyers that all the efforts made in the past and being made today to weaken the PPP has been failed and would never succeed in future too.
