ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Information Technology and Telecommunications, Mrs. Anusha Rahman on Monday said local manufacturing of mobile handsets was being given priority to help ensure locally made handsets at affordable price.
She said this while talking to Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of China Mobile, Liudian Fang, who called on her here.
Anusha Rehman asked Chine Mobile to facilitate local manufacturing of handsets in Pakistan by introducing to Chinese vendors the "Concessionary Tax Regime" recently introduced by government in Finance Bill 2015-16 for setting up local manufacturing of mobile handsets.
She said primary focus of the government is to ensure that any concerns of investors are addressed.
