imagePakistani batman Fawad Alam has welcomed the Pakistan Cricket Board’s decision to include veteran all-rounder Shoaib Malik in the Test squad against England for the four-match Test series in the UAE.

According to local media reports Fawad said, “We are all happy to have Shoaib Malik making a comeback after five years, and we have seniors who are so willing to help us out in all the departments”. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) spokesman said Malik had been included on the request of the team management since he was in good form and a very experienced performer.

Fawad also felt that in the spin department, Pakistan will have a upper hand against England.

British Pakistani boxer Amir Khan also expressed his happiness on Malik’s return to the Test team.

Malik played his last Test match five years ago. Malik also had to undergo a tough phase when board banned him for a year in March 2010. The first of the three-Test series against England commences in Abu Dhabi from October 13.
