35pc wheat target achieved

JHANG: The district administration is vigilantly monitoring the wheat buying process with the aim to achieve the target of buying 197,000 metric tons of the golden grain this year.

This was stated by District food controller, Amanullah Somro while talking to reporters here Monday.

He said over 60 percent bardana (gunny bags) had been distributed among the growers, and over 35 percent of the target of wheat procurement has been achieved so far.

To a question, he said crackdown on unlawful purchasers of wheat was ongoing in the district.
