imageISLAMABAD: Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi (PMAS-AAUR) has distributed laptops among 76 students of MS/M.Phil and PhD.

The laptops were provided by the Higher Education Cmmission (HEC) as part of the Prime Minister's Laptop Scheme in the 2nd phase, said a press release issued here.

Vice-Chancellor, PMAS-AAUR, Prof. Dr. Rai Niaz Ahmad handed over the laptops to the students in a ceremony held at auditorium of the University.On the occasion, Deans, Directors and faculty members were also present.

Addressing the laptop distribution ceremony, Dr. Rai Niaz appreciated the wisdom and vision of the Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif who introduced laptop scheme for the students, which would be helpful to promote research culture on universities campuses.

He expressed hope that it is now students' responsibility who received laptops to make full use of this facility and give good result to enhance the quality of higher education in the university.
