Turkey's Babacan sees year-end inflation just above central bank forecast

ISTANBUL: Turkey's inflation this year could go a little above the central bank's forecast of 7.6 percent, Deputy Prime Minister Ali Babacan told CNBC-e television on Tuesday.

Babacan also said higher-than-expected inflation was not linked to the central bank's monetary policy but largely to drought and frost earlier in the year limiting food supplies and pushing up prices.
