imageISLAMABAD: Ambassador of South Korea, Song Jong-hawan called on Minister of State for Water and Power Chaudhry Abid Sher Ali here Tuesday.

The Minister commended the deep ties between Pakistan and Korea in various fields.

He said that it is vision of the government to strengthen relation with Korea and facilitate Korean investors to bring business to Pakistan.

Explaining the current potential in energy sector of Pakistan, the Minister said that we had great opportunity in coal and hydel projects as 60,000 MW potential lies in hydel sector only.

The Ambassador said that more and more Korean companies are showing their interest for investing in energy sector to help Pakistan overcome the acute energy shortage.

He also expressed hope that the volume of trade between Pakistan and South Korea would further increase in future as both the governments and the private sector are taking measures to get the desired results.
