LONDON: European stock markets diverged at the start of trading on Wednesday, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index down 0.16 percent at 6,059.96 points.
Frankfurt's DAX 30 rose 0.24 percent to 7,374.11 points and in Paris the CAC 40 drifted 0.07 percent higher to stand at 4,048.14.
