RAWALPINDI: City District Government (CDG) Rawalpindi under its security plan made for 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal, is making elaborate security arrangements.
According to the security plan formulated in this regard, all the routes of the Milad processions will be thoroughly checked and the security will be tightened at the prescribed routes.
Cops with Elite Force, Special Branch officials, Muhafiz Force, motorcycle squads, Bomb disposal squads, Lady Police and personnel of other departments concerned would guard the Milad processions.
Special duties would also be performed by the members of the peace committee, members of Anjuman-e-Tajran and volunteers of the procession committee to ensure the security of the processions.
Close Circuit Cameras are being installed at the routes of the processions while there will be aerial surveillance of the processions to ensure the security of the faithfuls.
Bomb disposal squads will give clearance of the routes before start of the processions.
All the entry points of the routes of the processions including streets and roads would be sealed and barricaded properly while only entry points would be available for the faithful to join the processions where walk-through gates would be installed and after proper body search and thorough checking they would be allowed to go ahead.
Foolproof security arrangements for the big and small Milad processions of the district are being finalized.
Vehicles would only be allowed to move with Milad processisons after proper security checking. Parking of vehicles on the route of the processions would be allowed at a distance.
