Tahirul-QadriKARACHI: Long March will take place, the media quoted Minhaj-ul-Quran chief Tahir-ul-Qadri on Friday.

In his press conference in Lahore he said, there should be no doubt about the Long March, adding, it doesn't matter if MQM opted out of it.

Terrorism has increased over the years and has been on the increase because of corrupt politicians, he said.

Qadri said, the march is being held to empower the people, adding, elections cannot be held without making the system better.

"I am going to Karbala," adding, "I am following the path of Harzrat Imam Hussain (RA) against Yazeediyat".

He said, people will have to come out of their homes for revolution.

"I have come out of my home," he added.

He assured that if there was any attack on the Long March he wll register an FIR against the people responsible.

However, there are certain quarters who belive that the Long March would not harm the democracy.

According to them the democratic process would continue in the country and that the political forces, workers and people should prepare themselves for elections.
