Coronavirus crisis: 67 deaths reported in country during 24 hours

(Karachi) At least 67 deaths have been reported while 4,131 new coronavirus cases surfaced across the country during the last 24 hours, media reported on Wednesday. The total number of coronavirus patients has reached 80,463.

So far, the highest number of cases have been reported in Sindh with 31,086 cases. Punjab has reported 29,489 cases while 10,897 corona cases have been detected in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. Similarly, 4,740 corona cases surfaced in Balochistan, 3,188 in Islamabad, 779 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 284 in Azad Kashmir.

Till date, 28,923 patients have so far recovered from the virus while the death toll stands at 1,688.

Meanwhile, Punjab's Primary and Secondary Health Department has reported more than 1,000 new coronavirus cases for the third straight day, taking its tally over 29,000.

According to the department, 1,639 cases were confirmed in the last 24 hours, taking the provincial total to 29,489.

It also reported 30 additional deaths, taking the total fatalities to 570.
