ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Mian Saqib Nisar Tuesdasy formed a larger bench to hear the review petitions filed the Sharif family against the Supreme Court's July 28 verdict in the Panama Papers case.
The larger bench will comprise the five judges, who heard the Panama Papers case. The bench will be headed by Justice Asif Saeed Khosa, while Justice Gulzar Ahmed, Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan, Justice Azmat Saeed Shekih and Justice Ejazul Ahsan will be its members.
Earlier in the day, the three-member SC bench recommended the CJP to constitute a larger bench to hear the review petitions.
The Sharif family had moved two separate review petitions, challenging the decisions given by a five-member bench and the other by a three-member bench of the apex court.
The larger bench will start hearing the review petitions on Wednesday.
