The future of cycling is brighter than ever before, and the credit goes to technology that has created ‘Cyclotron’ an engineering marvel, which seems to be taken straight out of a sci-fi, fantasy flick.
Recognized as world’s first hubless (centreless) smart bicycle, the Cyclotron come with world’s most advanced lighting system, dual LED wheels that makes it look like the digital motorcycles one see in movies, along with a laser bike lane projector.
Labeled as ‘The Future of Cycling’ the bike features a number of on-board sensors. These sensors provide a variety of information i.e. elapsed time, heart rate, battery info, speed, calories burned, altitude, GPS, distance, slope and many more, reported HIGHSNOBIETY.
Cycling is now becoming even more popular and why not, it is healthy, non-polluting and most importantly a fun filled activity.
Coming to the design, the chic frame is constructed from “space grade carbon-fibre” that is “rigid, stiff, and ultralightweight” encompassing all the gear and brake cables. However the hubless wheel design is the most striking feature, which allows one to carry your shopping in the middle of the wheels.
Other features on Cyclotron are a self-charging Li ion battery, chainless power transmission, 18-speed e-gear box, smartphone mount, e-shift paddles and airless tires.
And for some good news, the bike has been successfully crowdfunded through Kickstarter reported Cycling Weekly, meaning that the bikes would be available in the market form July last year.
