imageISLAMABAD: Advisor to the Prime Minister on National History and Literature Heritage Irfan Siddiqui on Friday said the terrorism, extremism, and violence related incidents had decreased as action was taken against banned organizations and hate material.

Law and order situation had improved as compared to past and 322 terrorists were executed and 1500 books were sealed which helped in eradicating terrorism from the country, he said while talking to a news channel.

He said Pakistan had positive image in the world due to the government's sincere efforts and measures against war on terrorism, highly appreciated by international community.

Irfan Siddiqui said that nowadays Pakistan was more peaceful as compared to the past.

He said, "We have carried out operation Zarb-e-Azb with full power and devotion and also successfully destroyed the terrorists' network in the country."

He strongly condemned the attack on Bacha Khan University in Charsadda and expressed grief and sorrow over loss of precious lives.

The Advisor to the PM said that Pakistan had already stated to the Afghan government that some elements were present on their soil, who were claiming responsibility of terror attacks in Pakistan through video statements.

He urged the Afghan government to take action against such terrorists.
