imageHANOI: Vietnam posted a trade surplus of $263 million in November, contrasting with a forecast $200 million deficit and following a $500 million surplus recorded a month earlier, Vietnam Customs said on Tuesday.

Exports last month fell 2.9 percent from October to $13.89 billion, while imports eased 1.3 percent in the same period to $13.63 billion, the customs office said on its website.

Exports in January-November rose 7.9 percent from a year earlier to $148.24 billion, below the government's 10 percent growth target for the entire 2015 calendar year. Imports jumped 12.7 percent to $151.12 billion, leaving a deficit of $2.88 billion.
