ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court (SC) on Thursday accepted Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) plea regarding holding of phase-wise local body (LB) elections in Punjab and Sindh.
Justice Jawwad S Khawaja held hearing of the plea in his chamber. The SC accepted ECP’s plea after discarding registrar office’s objection. Justice Jawwad S.
Khawaja issued directives to accept the plea for hearing in the court. Earlier, the registrar office had ordered the ECP to approach forum concerned for the matter.
