Customs Court in Rawalpindi extended the judicial remand of super model Ayyan till April 24 due to her non-cooperation in the investigation.
According to local media reports, during the hearing the investigation officer pleaded to the court to grant more time for investigation till the compilation of final challan. The judge granted remand asking custom officials to present challan in the next hearing and adjourned the case proceeding.
Reportedly, customs officials said that supermodel Ayyan is not cooperating in the investigation resulting in an extension of 14 days in her judicial remand.
Ayyan was arrested from Benazir International Airport on March 14 after $508,000 were recovered from her possession. The charges against her are non-bailable, which is why FBR wants to take charge of the investigation.
