imageISLAMABAD: National Accountability Bureau Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Tuesday arrested Irfanullah, Assistant Director FATA Disaster Management Authority (FDMA), Amjad Ali, officer grade-III, United Bank and Sardar Khan Branch Manager Habib Bank in Bajour Agency (FATA).

They are allegedly involved in embezzlement of funds for compensation payment made to the affectees of terrorism after operation in Mohmand Agency and looted and embezzled millions of rupees fraudulently, says press release.

As per details, the government of Pakistan announced compensation to the affectees of Mohmand and Bajour Agencies at rate of Rs 160,000 for partially damaged houses and Rs 400,000 for completely damaged houses.

During the course of inquiry it was revealed that the accused Irfanullah, Assistant Director (FDMA) in connivance with others managed and created 122 fake survey forms on which he did fake signatures of FDMA representatives and Tehsildar of Mohmand Agency,

After that he managed to open fake bank accounts in the name of so called affectees through Amjad Ali, an employee of United Bank, Regi Lalma Branch, Karkhano Peshawar and Sardar Khan in Habib Bank Limited Inayat Kali Branch, Bajour Agency.

Moreover, they also entertained 40 fake survey forms, which were not even signed by the Political Administration and pocketed

millions of rupees of compensation amount.

Total loss is approximately at Rs 60 million.

NAB Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is actively perusing the case and more arrests are on the card.

The accused persons will be produced before Accountability

Court Peshawar.
