imageISLAMABAD: Minister for Science and Technology and Defence Production Rana Tanveer Hussain Tuesday said that the visit of Egyptian Defence Minister General Sadqil Suffi to Pakistan next month would prove a milestone in strengthening the bilateral relations of the two brotherly countries.

This he said during a meeting with the Ambassador of Egypt Said Hindam, who called on him here.

Besides bilateral relations, matters of mutual interests were also discussed in the meeting.

Both the sides agreed that cooperation in field of science and technology and defence production might be increased.

The minister apprised that both countries were signatories of 3rd Executive Programme of Scientific and Technological cooperation for the year 2013-2015.

The minister further said that Pakistan was well equipped in the defence production especially in arms and ammunition,Super Mashaq,JF Thunder aircraft.

The Egyptian ambassador hoped that the first ever visit of Egyptian Defence Minister would prove very productive.

He congratulated the minister on successful of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) Burraq and in the increase of 5000 square kilometer areas in the continental shelf of Pakistan.
