Kalki Koechlin’s upcoming film ‘Margarita with a Straw’ has launched its trailer and poster of the film on Wednesday. The trailer has been launched by none other than Bollywood perfectionist Aamir Khan.
The inspirational trailer features Kalki and amongst others as they bring their characters to life. Addressing death, gender identity and disabilities, it is a perfect blend of innocence, humor and seriousness.
According to Indian media reports Aamir Khan said, ’Margarita with a straw’ is the story of Laila, played by Kalki, who is suffering from Cerebral Palsy and shows how she still manages to go abroad and live her life. Kiran (Rao) applauded the film a lot and I believe her taste is very good. I’ve heard a lot from her so I knew it will be a very beautiful film”.
“When I saw the film I was just floored with it. This film will make you think, make you happy, cry and at the end it will leave you in a celebratory mood. It also inspires you. It is very lovely and very well made film”, he added.
The movie has been directed by Shonali Bose, the film also stars Hollywood actor William Moseley (lead of the Narnia Chronicles) and Sayani Gupta in pivotal roles.
The movie is slated to release on April 17, 2015.
