Veteran actress Hema Malini will lend her voice to an album based on her image as Bollywood 'Dream Girl'.
According to Indian media reports, Bollywood ‘Dream Girl’ will sing two Bengali tracks composed by Kishore Kumar and will also have a bilingual duet with Babul Supriyo. Supriyo said that they have recreated the old songs to make it contemporary with modern musical tracks using guitars etc. Hema Malini said that Babul Supriyo came up with the idea and soon they would record a duet song at a studio in Mumbai. “As a singer I have been discovered by Babul, the whole credit goes to him”.
Hema Malini starred opposite Dharmendra in 1977 film ‘Dream Girl’, directed by Pramod Chakravorty, and the song sung by the legendary Kishore Kumar. Hema Malini is well known for her roles in Hindi cinema, she made her acting debut in Bollywood from ‘Sapno Ka Saudagar’.
All these songs have been slated to release on Valentine’s Day next month.
