KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah Thursday appreciated the contribution of Chinese investment in development of energy sector and said that huge potential of the primary energy resources are waiting for more investment in Sindh Province.
This he observed in his welcome address at the reception which he hosted in the honor of visiting Chinese delegates at local hotel, said a statement of CM house.
He said that Sindh is the land of opportunities and God has blessed it with 7th largest coal deposits of the world at Thar Coal Reserves.
He said that many Chinese companies during his visit to China in October 2013 showed keen interest in investment in Sindh. Now several Chinese investors and companies are actively engaged in development of energy sector projects mostly wind, hydropower and coal.
Zhang Yuqing, Vice Administrator, National Energy Administration, (NEA), delegates from Electric Power Planning and Engineering Institute China and delegates from Sino Sure, ICBC, China development Bank attended the reception.
