KARACHI: President Asif Ali Zardari Thursday strongly condemned the bomb blast at Bacha Khan Chowk, Quetta resulting in loss of precious lives and injuries to dozens.
Expressing sympathies with the bereaved families, the President reiterated his firm resolve to continue fighting militancy till its logical end.
He said such coward acts by a handful of militants cannot deter government's commitment to curb militancy and terrorism in the country.
The President expressed profound grief and sorrow over the loss of precious lives and prayed to Almighty Allah to rest the departed souls in eternal peace and grant courage to the bereaved families to bear the loss with equanimity.
The President directed the concerned authorities to submit report of the unfortunate incident. He also directed the provincial government and all concerned to provide best medical treatment to those injured in the incident.
